What is Tera?

Tera is ProTerapia’s artificial intelligence assistant, available exclusively on the Pro plan. It helps your clinic in three areas: patient service via WhatsApp, therapist support, and proactive communications.

The Three Modes of Tera

1. Patient Assistant (WhatsApp)

Tera serves your patients through the clinic’s WhatsApp. It can:

• Schedule appointments — the patient sends a message, and Tera checks availability, suggests times, and creates the appointment
• Answer questions — hours of operation, address, types of therapy, prices
• Engage in natural conversation — Tera understands natural language in Portuguese and English
• Respect privacy — in this mode, Tera only accesses public information about the clinic, never session notes

2. Therapist Copilot

Within the app, therapists can chat with Tera to:

• Get summaries — “How were João’s last sessions?”
• Prepare for the session — pre-session briefing with context from the last appointment
• Receive suggestions — insights based on the patient’s session history
• Execute quick actions — “Reschedule Maria’s appointment for Friday”
• Consult therapeutic knowledge — general information about techniques and practices

The Therapist Copilot respects privacy: each therapist only accesses insights about their own patients.

3. Proactive Agent

Tera automatically acts in response to system events:

• Rescheduling — when the therapist needs to reschedule, Tera sends options to the patient via WhatsApp
• Automatic reminders — 24 hours and 1 hour before the appointment, via WhatsApp and email
• Follow-up on no-shows — message to patients who did not attend, offering to reschedule

Layers of Knowledge

Tera combines three sources of information:

1. Model knowledge — training in concepts of holistic therapies and well-being
2. System data — clinic profile, therapists, availability, prices (consulted in real-time)
3. Personalized content — FAQs, policies, and instructions that you configure in the Tera Knowledge Base

Privacy and Security

Tera operates within strict privacy boundaries:

Patient Assistant	Only public information about the clinic
Therapist Copilot	Only the patients of the therapist who is using it
Proactive Agent	Only the context of the specific appointment

Session notes are never shared with patients or between therapists.

How to Activate Tera

Tera is automatically available on the Pro plan. If you are on the Basic plan, upgrade in Settings > Subscription to access all of Tera’s features.
